GSS 2500 Subsea Shear - Underwater Cutter

This Genesis Subsea Shear, the GSS 2500, is an underwater cutter that has been pressure tested to operate at depths down to 10,000 feet for demanding offshore applications.

The GSS 2500 features anti-corrosion primer and paint for supreme protection in harsh marine applications such as:

• Offshore platform decommissioning
• Pipeline and piling cutting
• Underwater steel cutting

Multi-position rigging further enhances the Subsea Shear's versatility as a platform decommissioning shear, underwater cutter and underwater hydraulic shear, enabling it to be cable-hung and operated by a subsea power pack or from surface power.

For additional corrosion protection and functionality, this Genesis underwater cutter features:

• Xylan® anti-corrosion coated fasteners and critical surfaces
• A heavy duty pivot design with sealed, greaseable pivot points
• Zinc anodes
• Holes along the top and bottom of the shear body for easy water drainage
